Frequently Asked Questions

Is prior experience necessary?

No, for Local Franchise applicants we expect you to be customer service oriented and have a strong desire to succeed in your own business. For Master Franchise candidates experience in sales, marketing or management can build your territory at a faster pace. However, for both programs JDI provides extensive training to help you succeed.

Does JDI provide financial assistance?

JDI will assist you in submitting an application for financing from a recognized lending institution, should that be necessary. JDI does provide limited in-house financing for qualified candidates.

How are my cleaning contracts billed and collected?

JDI, through its Home office or Regional Office, directly bills and collects all contract receivables for the franchisees. This way you are assured of on time billing and efficient collection of your contracts. The benefit is increased cash flow and accurate record keeping for your franchise.

Do I purchase supplies from JDI?

No, JDI has negotiated discounted pricing from local suppliers, which allows you to buy with confidence. As well, you are free to source your own suppliers as long as the products they sell are of similar quality and are environmentally friendly.

How much working capital will I need?

Local franchisees should have a minimum of three months working capital at their disposal. Master franchisees should have three to six months working capital for their use. Working capital will assist you in the early stage development of your new franchise.

What are JDI Home Office responsibilities to my franchise?

JDI Home Office provides you with an extensive training program that covers industry specific knowledge, sales, customer service and management techniques. As well, each franchisee is taught the practical side of cleaning including techniques, skills and safe chemical and supply training.
